The EHS Specialist works with the Environmental Health and Safety Department to plan, direct, and implement Solenis' s environmental health and safety programs and to ensure a positive, safe, healthy, and incident-free work environment. They are responsible for the compliance with all environmental and safety regulatory agencies. This position will focus on compliance monitoring and reporting for the Charleston TN site. This position would also respond to emergency situations when they arise and will support EHS operations and staff to foster a zero-tolerance culture and ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

Education: BS Engineering and or Science, Chemistry, and or Occupational Safety, Health and Environment related fields of study or relevant experience.

Training: Strong knowledge of EHS regulations; OSHA, RCRA, TSCA, and DOT, Solenis Corporate Policies and other specific regulations as needed.

Experience: 3-5 years EHS experience at plant level

Competencies:

Strong communication, computer, leadership, people development and decision-making skills, willingness to learn, flexibility to adjust to changing situations, good organization skills with the ability to handle a variety of things simultaneously, and the willingness to take risks and be held accountable.

• Must have knowledge of manufacturing operations, and equipment usage.
• Must possess good written and oral communication skills and be able to work with all levels of management.
• Must provide development, coaching, and counseling to employees
• Proven leadership experience
